I just asked Dave and Kristy whether they knew about Pandora.com, and it turns out that Kristy did a project on recommendation music services for her master's program. So yes, they know it.

Maybe she can tell me why it played a song for me called "Current of Love" by... David Hasselhoff. (I think it was my XTC channel. Whah?)

Dave and I watched Rock Star: INXS last summer. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it, but let's just say that most of the contestants could sing circles around the American Idol contestants...

Dave and I had spectulated about all the great bands that are singer-less, but this certainly wasn't one of them. Hopefully they still get some talented folks and it's an entertaining summer program!

Apparently it's Metal month on VH1 and they're airing a show called The 40 Greatest Metal Songs. I looked at the list, and it's definitley got that adult-contemporary-VH1 flavor.

I think Dave will agree that like many people, VH1 has obviously confused Hard Rock with Metal.

I'm sure Dave will love this. He wrote an essay on the "justache" - the just-a-mustache phenomenon, so I know he is fascinated by facial hair. These guys are so fascinated by facial hair that they've become "athletes".
