Dave and I watched Rock Star: INXS last summer. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it, but let's just say that most of the contestants could sing circles around the American Idol contestants... This summer's band has been announced: http://rockstar.msn.com/news/supernovapr Dave and I had spectulated about all the great bands that are singer-less, but this certainly wasn't one of them. Hopefully they still get some talented folks and it's an entertaining summer program! |

| Dave May 11, 2006 11:32 AM PDT  Loved Rockstar: INXS. Way better than American Idol, imo. But Supernova? Hmmmm... As Kristy put it, Tommy Lee is a media-whore. Jason Newsted? Last I heard, he was in Voivod. What happened? And Gilby Clarke being cited as a member of Gn'R? On the Use Your Illusion tour only. He was a hired gun. But the idea that they are new and not looking for someone to replace their old (dead) singer is pretty compelling. It's good TV folks. I suggest watching it. | ||
